STAGE
STARS
- GROUPS
In
2006 to make sure we were able to continue to offer the best quality
tuition aimed spefically at the ages we cater for we split our membership
into three groups; the childrens, juniors and youths. This not only
allows us to keep class sizes down but also make sure we can teach
relevant to the smaller age ranges at the classes.
Childrens
Group
Our childrens group runs on a Saturday morning from 10.00am - 13.00pm
with two 90 minute classes. The childrens group caters for ages 5
- 10 and will accomodate anyone from school years 1 - 5 depending
on times they are able to attend. Our childrens group is more focussed
on learning the basic skills and developing confidence ready to progress
into the other groups. The childrens group will stage at least one
full scale production each year and occasionally join with the junior
group for one large show or professional and public engagements.
Junior
Group
Our junior group runs on a Saturday afternoon from 14.00pm - 17.00pm
with two 90 minute classes. The junior group caters for ages 10 -
14 and will accomodate anyone from school years 5 - 8 depending on
times they are able to attend. Our junior group spends most of its
time looking as more advanced performing arts skill and techniques
and looks alot more into progressing pupils to put on more professional
productions and having the right tools to turn their hobby into a
possible career. The junior group will stage at least one full scale
production each year but members will normally be given the oppertunity
to join in with youth group shows and occasionally also team up with
the childrens group for one large show or in professional and public
engagements.
Youth
Group
Our youth group runs on a Monday evening from 7.30pm - 9.30pm for
a full two hour class. The youth group caters for ages 14 - 24 and
will accomodate anyone from school years 8 upwards depending on times
they are able to attend. Our youth group spends most of its time working
toward staging shows throughout the city to a professional standard
as well as running workshops sessions aiming to allow the members
to be able and ready to audition for professional productions or theatre
colleges should they so wish. That said a huge majority of the youth
group attend purely as a hobby for fun and while they still perform
to a very high standard have no intention of continuing performance
arts as a career, they are there for the enjoyment. The youth group
will stage at least two full scale production each year and members
are also given various oppertunities to perform in professional and
public engagements through us.
